Injuries. Small lay price. Home field. Fading Zach Davies. Pick a reason because all of them are valid in going against the Cubs here.

Chicago has lost seven of its last nine road contests. The Indians are hot having won 11 of their last 14 games.  The Cubs are extremely banged-up. They are minus Jake Marisnick, Ian Happ and Nico Hoerner. Kris Bryant and Javier Baez are each questionable. I consider those two the best players on the Cubs.  I'm not excited about Sam Hentges, who starts this game for Cleveland. The rookie has a 5.00 ERA in nine innings this season. I don't know what I'm going to get from him.  But I'd rather take a chance with Hentges than back Zach Davies, who has a 6.30 ERA and has been terrible away from Wrigley Field with a 12.54 ERA in three road starts.   (Editor's note: Stephen Nover has his NHL Underdog Game of the Year going today. Stephen is 34-15-1 on his Max Unit hockey games for 69 percent. This is one hockey play you should not miss!)

Wednesday MLB Free play. My selection is on New York over Baltimore at 12:10 pm et on Wednesday.

Having won six games in a row including a 3-2 victory in walk-off fashion last night, there's a lot to like when it comes to the Mets right now. They've been reasonably trustworthy as a favorite this season, allowing just north of two runs per game in that situation, as is the case today. Meanwhile, O's starter - and former Met - Matt Harvey continues to wind down his career and I'll point out that he's posted a career 15-27 team record when coming off a start in which he allowed two earned runs or less, as is the case today. Mets starter Taijuan Walker held opposing hitters to a collective .214 splitting time with the Mariners and Blue Jays last season and has posted a stellar .171 opponents batting average through 34 innings of work this season. He's done a nice job of keeping the ball down with an 18.8% fly ball percentage and a 0.7% home run percentage. Behind Walker is a Mets bullpen that has quite simply been elite in the early going this season, posting an ERA right around 1.50 here at home. We're being asked to lay a steep price with the Mets here, but I believe it's warranted. Take New York (8*).

Sean's 85-48 (+$2,967) NHL run continues with TWO 10* big ticket totals on Wednesday with the first getting underway EARLY at 5 pm et! Your best bet is a weekly or monthly subscription package, giving you access to ALL of Murph's winners every day!
