After a KILLER HOT RUN for weeks now, I hit a snag last night. But will redeem myself tonight with BIG WINNERS: MLB 10-4 DOUBLE PLAY & (5-0 L5) HOME RUN WINNER, along with my WNBA (2-0 L2) SLAM DUNK MONEYMAKER. As one of the most successful NFL preseason handicappers in the history of sports betting, I'm excited to announce I have my first NFL preseason release of 2025, as a FREE WINNER. Join me with my first winner of a football season, and start your campaign off right. Detroit Lions. Game 111. 4:00 PM PST/7:00 PM EST. Preseason predictions are seeing the Detroit Lions as one of the top teams not just in the NFC, but in the entire NFL. They are predicted to win at least 10.5-games. They began this preseason with a lackluster, 34-7 loss at the hands of the Chargers on July 31, in the Hall of Fame game. Under their head coach, this is the team that tries during August contests. If you recall, a season ago they did the same thing in Week 1 of preseason action, losing to the New York Giants, 14-3, then winning and covering both games remaining in August, on the road at the Kansas City Chiefs, and at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is the team that's highly talented, and loaded with talent. They must get their very loyal fans excited. Atlanta isn't expected to be a real contender this season. They should be improved. However, I just don't see them jeopardizing any key players in their first outing in August. Take the Lions. Thank you. |

Houston. I'm gonna’ keep this analysis very short and very sweet, just like me (lol). I know this is a large number to lay with Houston. But looking at their last two opening rounds of the Big Dance, trust me when I tell you they will cover the number. Two years ago, they blew out Longwood by 40-points, and then last year, they destroyed SIU-Edwardsville by 38-points. This is a team that likes to destroy their opponents in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. I will give Idaho the respect they deserve. They amassed a 21-14 overall record this season, and enter this matchup winning and covering all four of their postseason games. But playing the likes of Sacramento State, Montana State, Eastern Washington, and Montana, is not going to prepare this team for their opponent here. In their season-opening game on November 3 on the road at Washington State, the Vandals took down those Cougars by two points as a 7.5-point underdog. The only other time they really stepped up this season was a December 10th road game at Notre Dame in which they lost by 15-points and could not cover. The Cougars lost their last outing to the Wildcats on March 14th, 79-74. I look for them to bounce back here with authority, make a statement to the rest of South bracket. Very few teams have competed with the nation’s third-ranked defense of Houston, which yields a mere 62.7 PPG. They will frustrate Idaho here and furthermore, dominate the Vandals on the glass at both end of the court. I don't think this line is nearly as high as it should be. Take Houston. Thank you. |

VCU. We all know Caleb Wilson is out. This is a big blow for the Tar Heels. Don't get me wrong, they have a smart coach, and a deep and talented team. But playing without their floor general and one of their top-contributors during the regular season is much different than playing in the Tournament without him. Yes, center Henri Veesaar is a force to be reckoned with. And he does have a good supporting cast. But I feel this will be a matchup North Carolina will sorely miss Wilson. The VCU frontcourt can certainly challenge the big center, and outmuscle UNC in the paint. That would be enough for me in this matchup. However, they are also deadly from downtown hitting over 36.7% beyond the arc. This is a place defensively the Tar Heels have gotten burned badly once again this season. I also feel the Rams can compete at both ends of the court on the boards in this matchup. Let's not forget, they average a few more points offensively than UNC does. I feel the Rams can win this game outright. But I will take the points the oddsmakers are giving us as a gift. Take Virginia Commonwealth. Thank you. |

Saint Louis. Very simply, I think the line is wrong in this matchup. Maybe the oddsmakers are looking to make it attractive to both Saint Louis and Georgia backers. But in my opinion once again, the line is off. The Billikens possess an offense that can certainly keep pace on the scoreboard with the Bulldogs. Yes, we all know Georgia averages 90.4 PPG. But SLU is right there with them averaging over 87.8 PPG. They are also more accurate overall from the floor, better from downtown (put a pin in that will come back around to it), and better on the offensive and defensive glass, as well. Oh, and by the way, they also allow approximately 10.1 PPG less defensively. I mentioned earlier about their outside shooting. They rank second nationally hitting 40.5% from three-point land, and defensively from the arc, they rank sixth, allowing just 29.1%. I feel they'll be able to exploit their opponent’s weaknesses defensively here, big time. Take the Billikens. Thank you. |

MSU. Size, experience, the more seasoned coach, and the much better rebounding core all belongs to the Spartans. Let's not forget Michigan State certainly faces much better opposition throughout the season than does North Dakota State. As a matter of fact, the Bison have only faced one team this season that you could say they stepped up in class out of their conference and that was the Beavers of Oregon State in their season opener, and they dropped that game on the road, 67-65. Since then, they have not had to go up against a single opponent anywhere near the caliber they're gonna’ face here in the opening round of the Big Dance. The fact that Tom Izzo has had some close calls in previous Tournament opening rounds, tells me he will not allow his team to take their foot off the gas here from start-to-finish. This game will get out of hand early, and stay that way. Take the Spartans. Thank you. |
